Why we built this
Buying a used car in the UK is oddly nerve-wracking for something so common. You're handing over a good chunk of money on the strength of an advert, a quick test drive and a seller who, fingers crossed, is telling you everything. Meanwhile the car's real story sits in records most people never think to look at: how its MOTs have gone year on year, whether the mileage climbs the way it should, what it's actually registered as.
We started this because the checks that surface that story were either overpriced, buried in upsells, or so vague you couldn't tell what you were paying for. We wanted the opposite. One flat price. A clean report you can actually read. And plain English about what it does and doesn't tell you, so nobody feels stung after the fact. That's the whole idea, and we've resisted every temptation to complicate it.
