The service

UK Vehicle Audit ("we", "us") provides vehicle history reports for UK-registered vehicles, compiled from third-party data sources. A report is an information product: it reflects what the data sources held at the moment you ran the check.

There are two checks. The Vehicle Report at £5.00 is the DVLA record and the DVSA MOT history. The Full History Check at £14.99 adds outstanding finance, insurance write-off records, the police stolen marker and the mileage register. Neither check carries a guarantee that the underlying data is complete or correct: both report what the sources held live at the time of your search.

What a report is, and isn't

Reports are provided for guidance. We take care to use reputable data, but we can't guarantee that every record is complete, current or free of errors, and a report is not a substitute for a physical inspection, a test drive, or checking the V5C logbook. The decision to buy a vehicle, and responsibility for that decision, stays with you.

Payments, credits and refunds

Checks are charged at the price shown before payment, processed by Stripe. If a registration returns no data at all, we add back what you paid as account credit automatically.

A report is digital content and we deliver it within seconds of payment, which is the whole point of the service. Consumer law normally gives you fourteen days to change your mind about a digital purchase, and that right ends once delivery has begun with your agreement: by running a check you are asking us to deliver it immediately and accepting that the fourteen-day right ends when we do. That does not affect your other rights. If a report is wrong, if it is missing something we said it would include, or if anything has clearly gone wrong, email us and we will put it right or refund you.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details private. We may suspend accounts used for scraping, resale of data without agreement, or anything unlawful.

Acceptable use

Reports may be used for your own purchase decisions or business operations (for example, checking stock as a dealer). Bulk harvesting of data through the service, or use for harassment or tracing individuals, is not permitted.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under UK law. Our total liability in connection with a check is limited to the price you paid for it.
